Pianists

The official competition pianists in 2024 are Kristian Attila, Hans-Otto Ehrström, Tuula Hällström, Kirill Kozlovski, Outi Nissi, and Joel Papinoja.

Kristian Attila

Kristian Attila is a lecturer in vocal music and opera at the Sibelius Academy of the University of the Arts. He is one of the most sought-after Finnish pianists specialising in lied and opera music, and since 2017, he has also served as Artistic Director of the Savonlinna Music Academy.

Hans-Otto Ehrström

Hans-Otto Ehrström works as a repetiteur at the Vienna State Opera. He has been the official accompanist at every Finnish singing competition, and he has performed as a soloist and chamber and recital pianist in several European countries, Russia, Iceland and Japan.

Tuula Hällström

Tuula Hällström is a passionate lied pianist. After winning Finland's only lied pianist competition in 1999, Hällström has actively given concerts with several different singers and is much in demand as a pianist for singing competitions, opera productions and masterclasses.

Kirill Kozlovski

Kirill Kozlovski is a Finnish-Belarusian pianist, harpsichordist and researcher. Kozlovski holds a doctoral degree from the Sibelius Academy in Helsinki for his research into the music of Dmitri Shostakovich (2017). He works as a lecturer at the Sibelius Academy.

Outi Nissi

Outi Nissi has been a lecturer of piano music at the Oulu University of Applied Sciences since 2006, with a special focus on coaching singers and orchestra musicians in the role of the pianist.

Joel Papinoja

Joel Papinoja is active in the fields of lied, chamber music and orchestral music.
