Samueol Park

Introduction

Samueol Park is a South Korean baritone born in 1992. He studied under Professor Sangho Choi at the Korea National University of Arts in Seoul, and later pursued studies under Professor Ewa Wolak at the Hanns Eisler School of Music in Berlin. During the 2021/22 season, he was part of the Deutsche Oper Berlin ensemble as a WCN Berlin scholar, and he returned in 2022/23 as Fiorillo in Rossini’s The Barber of Seville. He is set to make his house debut at the Oper Wuppertal in April 2024 as Landgraf Rudolf in Smyth’s Der Wald. In 2023, he won first prize in the Mt Fuji International Opera Competition of Shizuoka, Japan.
