Maria Warenberg
Introduction
Maria Warenberg is a Dutch mezzo-soprano born in 1995. She studied under Sasja Hunnego at the Dutch National Opera Academy, Conservatoire of Amsterdam, graduating in 2023. In 2023, Maria made a successful debut as Annio in Mozart’s La Clemenza di Tito at Opera Ballet Vlaanderen. Earlier the same year, she made her debut as Costanza in Haydn’s L’isola disabitata with the Orchestra of the Eighteenth Century under the baton of Kenneth Montgomery. Other highlights include performances with the Radio Philharmonic Orchestra at the Concertgebouw and the TivoliVredenburg conducted by Enrico Delamboye. Warenberg also has a big passion for Lied repertoire, having performed Lieder at the Concertgebouw, Muziekgebouw aan ‘t IJ, and de Doelen, among others. In 2023, she was a laureate of the Queen Elisabeth Competition.
