Zdislava Bočková (b. 1991) is a Czech soprano, born in Brno. She speaks English, Italian and Polish in addition to her native language. She studied singing at the Brno Conservatory and at the opera studio of the Spoleto Opera. She has performed numerous roles in the Czech Republic and Italy, most recently Esmeralda in Smetana’s Bartered Bride (Czech National Opera), Olga in Lehár’s Merry Widow (La Fenice in Venice), Violetta in Verdi’s La Traviata (Teatro Nuovo Giancarlo Menotti) and Clorinda in Rossini’s La Cenerentola (Teatro Romano). This year she has performed as soloist with the Czech and Brno Philharmonic Orchestras and given a recital at the Rudolfinum in Prague. She was awarded first prize at the 2018 Czech Philharmonic Competition and at the 2017 Bohuslav Martinů Competition.
