Volodymyr Tyshkov is a Ukrainian bass born in 1992. He studied at the Tchaikovsky National Music Academy of Ukraine, graduating in 2020. Since 2017, Tyshkov has been a soloist with the National Opera of Ukraine. His operatic roles include Sparafucille in Verdi’s Rigoletto, Il Re in Verdi’s Aida (performed in Danish opera theatres), Timur in Puccini’s Turandot, Colline in Puccini’s La bohème, Don Basilio in Rossini’s The Barber of Seville, The Grand Inquisitor in Verdi’s Don Carlos, Oroveso in Bellini’s Norma (Teatro Comunale Mario del Monaco, Treviso, Italy and Teatro Comunale Claudio Abbado, Ferrara, Italy), Mozart’s Requiem, and Premier Strelets in Mussorgsky’s La Khovantchina (Opera national de Paris, France). In 2022, he won second prize in the 11th International Stanislaw Moniuszko Vocal Competition.
