Sanghun Lee

Sanghun Lee is a South Korean baritone born in 1992. He studied at the Rostock University of Music and Drama and Yonsei University in South Korea. Lee began his fully fledged singing career in the 2017/18 season by performing in Verdi’s La Traviata as Germont and the title role of Verdi’s Rigoletto at Yonsei University in South Korea. Notable performances include the title role of Mozart’s Don Giovanni and Wotan in Wagner’s Das Rheingold at the Rostock University of Music and Drama; Mahler’s Lieder eines fahrenden Gesellen with orchestra; and Donizetti’s L’elisir D’amore, all during 2020/21 season. In 2022, he performed in Fauré’s Requiem at the French Cathedral Music Concert with the Carl-Philipp-Emanuel Bach choir in Hamburg, Germany. The same season, he performed in the choir in Verdi’s Requiem at Theater Mecklenburg Vorpommern. Lee has been selected as an academy member of the Rundfunkchor Berlin since February 2024.
