Maciej Kwaśnikowski is a Polish tenor born in 1992. He has participated in The Lindemann Young Artist Development Program at the Metropolitan Opera (2019 –2021) and the Paris Opéra Academy at Opéra national de Paris (2017–2019), as well as the Warsaw Opera Academy at the Polish National Opera (2015–2017). For the 2023/2024 season, Kwaśnikowski joined the newly created Troupe of the Paris Opera, appearing as Pang in Robert Wilson’s production of Puccini’s Turandot under the baton of Marco Armiliato, as well as Gastone in Verdi’s La Traviata and Third Jude in Strauss’ Salome. He also performed the role of Camille de Rosillon in Lehár’s The Merry Widow at the National Philharmonic in Warsaw, Poland. Kwaśnikowski has performed numerous tenor sections in oratorio works by Bach, Handel, and Mozart, and in Schubert’s Mass in E Flat Major with the Wiener Philharmoniker at the Salzburg Festival (2018), as well as with the Symphonieorchester des Bayerischen Rundfunks in Munich (2019), both under the baton of Riccardo Muti.
