Lubov Karetnikova

Lubov Karetnikova is an American soprano with Ukrainian-Russian roots, born in 1993. Graduating in 2023, she studied opera performance at the Latvian Music Academy and Lithuanian Music and Theater University, as well as Lied and Oratorio Performance at the Mozarteum University in Salzburg. In the season 2023/24, Karetnikova is making her debut at Tiroler Festpiele Erl in Austria as Juliette Vermont in Lehàr’s Der Graf von Luxemburg, as Fiordiligi in Mozart’s Così fan tutte in Teatri di Pistoia in Italy, and as Adina and Gianetta in Donizetti’s L’elisir d’amore at the Latvian National Opera. She has a broad chamber music repertoire and has performed recitals in venues such as Wigmore Hall in London, Wagner Hall, and the Solitär Hall in Salzburg. In 2023, Karetnikova was a semi-finalist in the Queen Elisabeth Competition.
