Karoline Podolak

Karoline Podolak is a Canadian coloratura soprano born in 1993. In 2019 –2021, she completed a Master’s degree in Opera Performance at the K. Szymanowski Academy of Music in Katowice, Poland, in the solo singing class of Ewa Biegas. Notable performances include Violetta in Verdi’s La Traviata (The National Opera & Ballet of Bulgaria 2022), The Fire/Princess/Nightingale in Ravel’s L’enfant et les sortilèges (Opéra de Montréal 2023), Vixen in Janáček’s The Cunning Little Vixen (The Canadian Opera Company 2024), and the soprano soloist in Markopoulos’ The Liturgy of Orpheus (Odeon of Herodes Atticus, Athens, upcoming). She has performed in concert in Canada and abroad, including with the Toronto Concert Orchestra, Southern Ontario Lyric Opera, Toronto Sinfonietta (solo concert engagements include Faure’s Requiem and Jenkins’ The Armed Man: A Mass for Peace), Celebrity Symphony Orchestra, Ryerson Oakham House Choir, Quo Vadis Choir and Camerata Ensemble, and in cycles of classical and musical theatre concerts organised by Kinga Mitrowska.
