Jonghwan Lee is a South Korean baritone born in 1992. Since completing his Bachelor’s at the Korea National University of Arts in 2021, he has continued his studies at the Hochschule für Musik und Darstellende Kunst Mannheim towards a Master of Konzert Lied. His roles include Germont in Verdi’s La Traviata, Figaro in Rossini’s The Barber of Seville, Il Conte in Mozart’s The Marriage of Figaro, Belcore in Donizetti’s L’elisir d’amore, Falke in Strauss’ Die Fledermaus, and Schaunard in Puccini’s La bohème. In 2022, he was a semi-finalist in the Concurso Internacional de Canto Montserrat Caballé in Madrid, Spain.
