Jingwen Cai is a Chinese mezzo-soprano/alto born in 1993. She studied at the Xinghai Conservatory of Music under the supervision of tenor, Professor Yan Yang, and graduated in 2018. In 2023, she won first prize in the Ningbo International Vocal Competition. She has been active on stage for many years, and her career highlights include Mahler’s vocal suite Das Lied von der Erde and the role of Wang Xiaoyan in Qianyi’s opera The Song of Youth at the National Grand Theatre in Beijing. In 2022, she collaborated with the Xi’an Symphony Orchestra (XSO) on Verdi’s Requiem, and in 2021, she worked with the China Philharmonic Orchestra and the Lanzhou Symphony Orchestra on Beethoven’s Symphony No. 9.
