Elaina Moreau is a Canadian soprano, born in 1989. She is an alumna of the Vancouver Opera Young Artists Program and has studied at University of Toronto, the San Francisco Conservatory of Music and the Aspen Opera Theater Center. She is an experienced participant in singing competitions, and previously took part in the Mirjam Helin Competition in 2014. Her most recent opera roles have been Gianetta in Donizetti’s L’elisir d’amore, the Mother in Marcel Bergmann’s contemporary musical Requiem for a Lost Girl (based on a true story) and the title role in Monteverdi’s L’incoronazione di Poppea. In concert she has been a soloist in works such as Handel’s Messiah and Rutter’s Requiem. Her repertoire also includes the roles of Pamina in Mozart’s Magic Flute, Susanna in The Marriage of Figaro and Olympia in Offenbach’s Contes d’Hoffmann.
