Galina Benevich

Galina Benevich, soprano, was born in 1991 into an operatic family in Russia. She studied not only at the Moscow Academy of Music but also in Israel at the Meitar Opera Studio of the New Israeli Opera. Her roles have included the Fairy in Massenet’s Cendrillon, Papagena in Mozart’s Magic Flute, Clorinda in Rossini’s La Cenerentola and Genovieffa in Puccini’s Suor Angelica. She sang the Queen of the Night in The Magic Flute at her début at the Staufer Music Festival in Germany. Galina Benevich won second prize at the International Mario Lanza Competition in 2017 and at the International Georg Ots Competition in 2018.
