Yeseul Choi

Yeseul Choi is a Korean soprano. She was born in 1989 and gained her master’s degree from the Seoul College of Music. After moving to the USA, she studied first at the new England Conservatory; she is now continuing her studies at the Mannes School of Music in New York. She has sung the roles of Norina in Donizetti’s Don Pasquale, Barbarina and Susanna in Mozart’s Marriage of Figaro, Frasquita in Bizet’s Carmen and Pamina in Mozart’s Magic Flute in New York student productions. She has appeared as a soloist with a number of Korean orchestras and has won first prize in two competitions in her native country, the Ewha Kyunghyang Music Competition and the Haneum Competition.
