Teaa An

Teaa An is a mezzo-soprano from South Korea. She began her singing studies at the Korea National University College of Arts. After graduation in 2015 she moved to Germany to continue her studies at the Dresden Carl Maria von Weber College of Music. She obtained her master’s degree in 2017 and is currently pursuing advanced studies at the same institution.

Under the guidance of Prof. Edward Randall she switched from being a soprano to a lyric mezzo-soprano in 2018. Teaa An’s operatic roles have included Cherubino in Mozart’s Marriage of Figaro, the Fox in Janáček’s Cunning Little Vixen and the Sleep Fairy in Humperdinck’s Hansel and Gretel, which she sang during the 2018/2019 season at the Dresden Operetta.
