Mongolkhuu Byambajav

Mongolkhuu Byambajav (b. 1989) is a baritone from Mongolia, born in Bayenzürkh, near the world’s coldest capital city, Ulaanbaatar. He gained his M. Mus. degree at the Tchaikovsky Conservatory in Moscow in 2016. Since 2017 he has been a permanent soloist with the Mongolian State Academic Theatre of Opera and Ballet. His roles have included Germont in Verdi’s La Traviata, Marcello in Puccini’s La Bohème and the title roles in Tchaikovsky’s Eugene Onegin, Borodin’s Prince Igor and Sharav’s Genghis Khan. He has appeared at gala concerts in Ulaanbaatar, Moscow, Seoul, Ulan-ude and Krasnoyarsk.
