John Matthew Myers

John Matthew Myers is a tenor from the USA, born in 1988. He is currently a resident artist at the Academy of Vocal Arts in Philadelphia, where he has sung the role of Bacchus in Strauss’s Ariadne auf Naxos and the Prince in Dvořák’s Rusalka. In 2017 he sang Mao in John Adams’ opera Nixon In China in Los Angeles, conducted by the composer. Myers has given a recital at the Kennedy Center in Washington and has appeared as a soloist with orchestra in Mozart’s Requiem and C minor Mass, Beethoven’s Ninth and Mahler’s Eighth Symphonies and Mahler’s song cycle Das Lied von der Erde.
